DescriptionFriday 1 December, 2023 Doors 7.30pm for 8pm (UK time) Brunei Gallery Lecture Theatre (BGLT) On their first ever UK tour, 49 Strings brings together five exceptionally talented musicians from India and Europe, wielding a total of 49 strings. Their blend of violin, cello, sarangi, and kamaicha, alongside Rajasthani percussion and voice, creates a mesmerizing musical tapestry. Within the classical quartet framework, they ignite creative synergy they blend Western and Indian influences, merging North Indian Ragas, South Indian Talas, and Rajasthani Folk Tunes. Hear them practising at the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur.
